Rost was a Swedish rock band from Stockholm, who played their first gig in 1981 and disbanded in the mid-1980s. Members were Janne Oldeus (guitar, vocals; later with Janne Lagerström and The Hydrophones, Mosquitos), Matts Alsberg (bass, vocals) and Peter Smoliansky (drums). The band, known for its soul, country and rhythm & bluescovers, has reunited for occasional gigs since 2005.
